Alex's name derives from the genus for holly, "ilex". She's polite and cautious and she like sharing with others and giving gifts. She likes cold weather and winter activities. Alex loves festivals and enjoys planning out celebrations and events to surprise and entertain friends.

She likes to be out in nature, but doesn't shy completely away from artificial things and recognizes that they can be useful. But she doesn't care for how commercialized winter has gotten in some places.

She's friends with Rocket and Ichugo and lives near them. Alex tends to get roped into whatever wild shenanigans Rocket instigates.
